Bellydance Uncorked

Portland’s brand of “weird” has spawned a fresh, unique evening showcase of varied talents! Every last Saturday at Vino Vixens Bellydance Uncorked is an opportunity for the entire community to mingle, sip wine in a luscious, intimate wine lounge, and be enthralled by the myriad of burlesque, fusion, hoop, tribal, fan, belly dancers and musicians the region has to offer.

Uncorked is the brainchild of local dancers who wished to share their interest and talent with the community – not just the dance community but Portland at large. After careful planning it opened February 2010 to a standing-room only crowd. With a clearly successful night of revelry the girls easily rounded up interested parties from all over the West Coast and have quickly filled up the performance queue to near-capacity. Audience space has been equally packed in the months that followed, unabated by the (incredibly low!) suggested $10 donation.

What makes Bellydance Uncorked unique is a rotating showcase with some of Portland’s hottest, hand-picked bellydance and musical talent. We provide a true variety show with professional dancers from traditional and fusion flavors, along with musicians that always rock the night away. Top that off with great wine from the Vino Vixens cellar, and you’ve got an evening to remember. Where else can you get this much bang for your entertainment buck?
